The MILWAUKEE BREWERS' game against the MINNESOTA TWINS at MILLER PARK on JUNE 2nd has been designated "620 WTMJ Day” for a special promotion honoring the team's longtime radio flagship, JOURNAL News-Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE.
The station will broadcast JEFF WAGNER's midday show and the afternoon news block "WISCONSIN'S AFTERNOON NEWS" with JOHN MERCURE 3-6p (CT), followed by the game broadcast (at, appropriately, 6:20p) with BOB UECKER and JOE BLOCK. WAGNER, MERCURE, and GENE MUELLER will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and tickets in certain categories have been reduced to $6.20.
WTMJ VP/GM TOM LANGMYER said, "BREWERS baseball on WTMJ Radio has been the soundtrack of summer in WISCONSIN for decades. BOB UECKER and JOE BLOCK have a special relationship with listeners and we’re very pleased to join the BREWERS in honoring fans for their tremendous support over the years. 620 WTMJ Day will honor our partnership with the BREWERS and reward the loyal BREWERS fans who have tuned into 620 WTMJ for decades.”
BREWERS COO RICK SCHLESINGER added, ”We appreciate the support of our friends at 620 WTMJ with all that they do to bring BREWERS games into the homes of fans throughout the state. This promotion provides another great value to BREWERS fans, and we look forward to what will be a great night at MILLER PARK as we host the TWINS.”
