He is currently serving his second term as a Republican member of the Texas Senate representing the 7th District, which includes a small portion of the city of Houston and several Houston-area suburbs located mostly in northwest Harris County. Patrick defeated three-term incumbent David Dewhurst in the May 27, 2014, Republican runoff election for Lieutenant Governor of Texas.[4]
Daniel Patrick Pugh (born May 15, 1956), professionally known as Dan Patrick, is an American Sports Emmy-winning sportscaster, radio personality, and actor from Mason, Ohio. He currently hosts The Dan Patrick Show which is broadcast on radio on Premiere Radio Networks, and on television on NBCSN as well as The Audience Network for DIRECTV subscribers, co-hosts NBC's Football Night in America, and serves as a senior writer for Sports Illustrated.
