Too quick to suspend & fire: a problem with no fix in sight

I don't understand the suspension of Dan Le Batard one bit. He is the ESPN radio and TV host that paid for billboards in Cleveland that were perceived to be something worthy of taking him off the air without pay for two days.

Can someone help me digest this in a way that makes sense? Because it doesn't sit well with me. There have been a barrage of these incidents.
