Anyone care to offer their 2 cents on the media coverage of the incident and its aftermath? I'm actually heartened by a talk a couple of CBS producers had with Channel 3 (link below), where they were of the belief that "Madison is not Ferguson" (i.e. things here are generally more civil and nowhere near as violent as what it was down in Missouri). I'm of the belief that the national news organizations were expecting another Ferguson-like tinderbox (anger and violence means ratings), and as a Madisonian, I am glad they haven't seen that.
Anyone else impressed or less-than-impressed about the national and local media coverage?
