Joyce Garbaciak, a lead anchor at cross-town WITI-TV Fox 6 before joining WISN 12 full-time last fall, now joins Kathy Mykleby to co-anchor WISN 12's 6 and 10 p.m. weekday newscasts.
Garbaciak is replacing Craig McKee, who is leaving WISN to anchor the early and late evening newscasts on WCPO-TV in Cincinnati.
According to the Cincinnati station's website, McKee's first day on the air there is June 8. WCPO is owned by E.W. Scripps Co., which also owns WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) in Milwaukee.
Garbaciak will join WISN's 6 p.m. newscast June 15, and start at the 10 p.m. Sept. 14. She has been co-anchoring the station's 5 p.m. newscast with Toya Washington since last September.
Patrick Paolantonio, co-anchor of WISN's morning news show for 12 years, will join Washington as co-anchor at 5 p.m., also on June 15. That's when he'll also add to his plate an expanded role on the station's 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts.
Jan Wade, president and GM of WISN, said weekend evening anchor Toni Valliere will fill in at 6 and 10 p.m. and later on the morning news with Melinda Davenport until a replacement for Paolantonio is named.
