It appears that no C&D has been issued yet, and the article did NOT state that Magnum was dropping anything. The only thing mentioned was that the Lawyers are talking. Magnum wins this on two fronts:

A. He negotiates a deal for the intellectual property

or

B. He switches names, but in the process, everyone now knows where to hear that format, regardless of what it's called.
