Luckilly for West Bend and Racine, they were kept off the bird entirely on Magnum's budget under Magnum's rules. If you do not like those rules, then you probably shouldn't be working there anyway. You're not going to have a good time. That's why Rosen was let go, and that's probably why Curt and Ted left. I heard Curt simply got a better offer and his former non-Radio job. No idea about Ted. As for 92.1, really wasn't many people to let go of. Don Rosen did mornings, then went over to WRJN. The rest was either voice tracked from other Bliss stations or John Tesh and his producer Betsy Chase tracked. 92.1 The Shore is sorta like that. Could be jockless given the format, but at least they pay people to track shifts.
If Bliss sold to EMF, 92.1 and 92.5 would immediately join the K-Love and Air 1 Networks, no more local studio, everybody would have lost their jobs, and the AMs would have gone elsewhere.
Same if they were sold to iHeartMedia, Bustos, Etc.
By the way, all the Magnum stations except Reedsburg dropped Westwood One programming. The logs are being generated in Wisconsin now. I was actually quite shocked to see that happen.
That said, enjoy the music. WRJN, WVTY, WMBZ and WBKV all play great music, a lot of it not heard on other stations in the market.
