Well, these days WMYX is doing much better in the ratings than WXSS. It seems when people graduate from 103.7 (They get a little older) they move on to 99.1 or other stations that play some of the songs they remember, and the more adult-friendly current hits.
A lot of former 103.7 DJs have moved with that audience. JoJo for example is middays there. She was the first, and longest running midday jock on 103.7 and was the MD. She's now doing the same at 99.1
Van McNeil moved from 103.7 to 99.1, but he was let go and now is morning co-host on the direct competition, WLDB.
Back to Wes, he was one of the original DJs on 103.7 when it launched in 1998. He left for Minneapolis for a few years, but came back for mornings.
Remember Greg Tanner? He was also one of the original 103.7 DJs. He's at their sister Hot AC in Sacramento.
Now, along with JoJo, he's moved on to 99.1 with a good chunk of the audience that grew up listening to him on 103.7
Should also be noted, 103.7 and 99.1 tend to share a lot of part timers.
