103.7's morning and night shows have changed a lot over the years. They change. People get promoted. People leave. People get let go. Those particular shifts are vulnerable. Nights moreso.
Moving Wes over to 99.1 made a lot of sense. People that grew up listening to Wes on 103.7 are likely now listening to 99.1. He was one of the original jocks on there when it launched in June of 1998. Like Craig Carson he had left for other stations in other markets and came back.
The listeners who were listening to Wes on 103.7 between 1998 and 2002 and figure 2004-2005 are now out of college, probably have a few kids, and are kinda tired of the newer music.
Anybody remember Greg Tanner? He was the original afternoon guy there. He's doing Hot AC at their sister station in Sacramento.
JoJo (The original MD/Midday host) was also moved (before they let her go) from 103.7 to 99.1.
Van McNeil (Another original 103.7 jock) is now mornings on 93.3.
They're going where the listeners are going as they grow up and out of the CHR demo.
No idea about why they decided to move The Judge from the morning show. Maybe it was for budget reasons. They have to keep a budget.
