Just speculation, but perhaps a return to alternative rock? iHeart's added an "ALT" format in a few markets lately; they just launched an "ALT" station in St. Louis, complete with a syndicated morning show.

And, yes, this is a little deja vu for 92.1. We saw this same do-se-do 10 years ago when CC tried to flip it to sports, only to reverse course when the listenership raised a real ruckus. Is iHeart betting people have short memories this time around?
