A radio disc jockey for an Oshkosh based station appeared for a bond hearing Thursday in Virginia after he was arrested Monday for soliciting sex with a minor.
Richard Kieffer, who goes by the name "Rich Allen" on Oshkosh-based WVBO-FM 103.9, was arraigned on one count of soliciting a minor by use of a communication device, which is a felony, according to an online court record of his case in Fairfax County, Va.
The incident occurred April 1and Kieffer was arrested on May 3, according to those court documents. The charge carries a sentence of 1 to 10 years in jail and up to $2,500 in fines.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 7. A public information officer for the Fairfax County police department said no other information on the incident will be released to the public until then.
Cumulus Vice President Market Manager Jeff Schmidt confirmed that Kieffer is no longer employed at the station.
He said that Program Director Jim Franklin is filling in the morning show slot as the station looks for a permanent replacement.
"We are shocked and devastated that this has happened," Schmidt said. "We hope it's not true. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family."
