No idea if they were on Z this morning as I work the night shift and wake up to (gag) Ryan Seacrest.
As for when The Brew flipped.. "On May 28, 2010 at 9AM, WQBW changed their format to top 40, branded as "97.3 Radio Now". The surprised move might be tied to crosstown rival WJZX's decision to drop Smooth Jazz the previous day and their plan to go Top 40 as "106.9 Now." However, WJZX plans to go with a Rhythmic Top 40 direction, even though they already registered the "Now" moniker and the call letters WNQW on May 21, 2010, just eight days before WQBW's switch. With WQBW and WJZX going Top 40/CHR, they'll take on WXSS and will mark the first time since 1983 that Milwaukee has had more than one Top 40 on the FM band, when WKTI, WZUU, WRKR and WQBW's early predecessor WBTT all competed against each other."
