This is common. When I was OM of a group and had two format flips in the works, I registered the domains under my in law's names and address two states over. When the flips happened I transferred them into the company's account. It cools suspicion when it's some random person rather than the radio group's name.

: Just going based on domains, neither company used their regular registrar and point of contacts for the new domains which is weird to me.
