Milwaukee has not witnessed a direct in-metro FM station take on WMIL in at least 15 years. Probably more like 20.

Kenosha rimshots (WEXT) and West Bend rimshots don't count. They're not in the metro and the signals in Mil/Wauk counties stunk. You could argue Racine county was in play for WEXT's signal, I suppose.

WMIL is a strong station. I think it's a testament to their programming over the last 15 years. Ironically with the same PD the whole time.

: Anyone remember 104.7 the wolf from a few years ago. Good station, and they made a dent in FM 106's numbers. Granted the signal wasn't the best, they did good and it can be done again.
