No, it's entirely possible. Keep in mind that WOLX's tower is about 30 miles from Madison.
This is exactly what happens this time of year. I have been within just a few miles of my 25kW station and had a station 150 miles takeover. Transmitter is at full power, no problems, nothing.
The atmosphere gets goofy when there is warm, muggy weather like this.
: For a station in St Cloud to "trump" our local signal on 94.9 it would mean that 94.9 here was off the air. No way a signal that far away just happens to overide a local stick. And a big local stick for that matter. I don't care how bad the atmosphere was.
: They must have been off air for a period of time due to the weather.
: : Is anyone else hearing this right now?? Sounds like WOLX has flipped to...MIX 94 9??...I have heard Usher, Katie Perry, and Train so far...anyone know anything??
