It all comes down to budget and dollars. And they don't want to spend money on people who have actual personality. Because that's why people listen - for personality and compelling content. If you just throw 20 year old former interns on the air and pay them $19k a year it isn't going to work because they have no life experiences to share. Seasoned vets is what is needed to make people consider tuning into local instead of a syndicated powerhorse. jmo.
