MADISON, Wis. -- A Madison radio station is helping those dealing with the tornado damage in Joplin, Mo.
Station officials are trying to help them out with a basic necessity that is now scarce: water.
Hip-hop station 93.1 Jamz is leading the charge. At the same time, Mad City Moving will donate two trucks to help with morning-show host Fish Calloway and his efforts.
Calloway and his crew will be collecting water at West Towne Mall on Thursday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
"We have this truck filled with water, and we're getting there, but I'm never surprised, " said Calloway. "I've seen before with Ladysmith and Katrina, I'm never surprised to see how amazing the people in this area are at helping those in need, even those out of our state," said Calloway.
The group will leave for Joplin on Friday and broadcast live there the entire day.
