Lots of people leave the bigs and it has nothing to do with not being able to handle it. For one, Big City Radio dumped the format in favor of a Jack FM format turned progressive talk. So he lost his gig there because of that. He then went north to Milwaukee and was nights at Kiss. He wanted to settle down more and have a family, so he took smaller market gigs and is quite happy. What you realize as you get older and make it to the majors, is that for some people the majors don't hold that much appeal after you've been there, done that. They don't pay as much as you would think, the cost of living is ridiculous, traffic is horrendous, they're a lot higher stress, and the drama is paramount. So while I'm not all up on Pat's nuts or anything, I do understand why some people choose market 98 over 3.
