Never thought this day would come, but it came earlier this week: Charter Communications and NFL Network finally struck a carriage deal to put the network back on Charter; it'll be added to the Digital View Plus tier (the same tier that has channels like BBC America and OWN) and HD tiers by the start of the regular season, with the Red Zone channel added to the sports tier.
I want to recall that NFLN, when Charter did have it briefly in the middle of last decade, was in the sports tier (channel 306 in Madison or thereabouts); NFLN was pulled because the network wanted an expanded basic spot back then, so this appears to be a little bit of a bump up (though it's still the nosebleed section... or at least the mezzanine level).
