Or, you can think of it as a success in that the reason you test is to make sure something works, and this clearly exposed a major problem with EAS here. The audio was completely garbled. Sounded like a string can telephone set up in front of a mic in a room full of other people talking.
The few stations I could scramble to check during the 30 second window seemed to carry the alert (except for WTLX), but the audio on all stations was TERRIBLE.
Who is the primary station for Madison? This sounded like shit!! I'll have an MP3 up shortly.
