You do understand that translators are the lowest on the food chain, in terms of causing interference? They cannot cause any interference at all, even if the station is many miles away It's also not just people like Nortwestern College who pursue these kinds of problems. Recently a station in Toledo, OH got a translator co-channel in downtown Detroit shut down.
If you're going to play, you have to play by the rules. I have to think that WNOV knew this would probably happen at some point. Changing frequencies and/or location is also not a big deal on translators, so I wouldn't be surprised if this station returns soon.
