Let's see, they have families, and they live in Milwaukee.
Connie & Fish were moved to Milwaukee to run the show from there. Fish left, then Curtis moved
to Milwaukee to join Connie. When 97.3 flipped format, they were literally running the Z104 morning show out of that same
studio while 97.3 ran jockless for a few months. Connie did it alone while they auditioned people to replace Fish.
Now, they get taken off the air in Milwaukee because of low ratings and so they could focus on their Madison show, which
would eventually involve moving back to Madison. Maybe they just didn't want to move back to Madison, or if they were
allowed to keep running the show from Milwaukee, travel 90 miles back and forth between the two cities in order to make
public appearences in Madison. Gas isn't cheap.
Fish didn't seem to have a problem moving back to Madison to work for 93.1, but I have a feeling they gave him a good offer.
If they're settled down somewhere, maybe they simply just didn't want to move. They might end up looking for jobs outside
of radio like many others have in the past.
That's the way it goes sometimes. You're settled somewhere, and you don't want to leave, even if that means changing
careers.
