KPOJ did not have "really bad ratings". Before progressive talk, the station aired an oldies format that had virtually NO listeners. As far as recent ratings, they've been down considerably since KPOJ's heyday, but comparable to or higher than typical AM stations. Basically, the big owners are scrambling to find more outlets for their sports networks (CC owns Fox Sports Radio).
