i take issue with the media feeling forced to take a stake in the race. no longer can a news outlet be
required to and respected for presenting both sides of an issue. no longer can stations or papers ultimately report on a story in which an investigation showed xyz did abc without putting a calculated political spin on it. instead you have news networks and newspapers presenting one set of facts in its broadcasts or printings. then in their sister web site or tv network another set of facts are given. ie: a fox corporate owned local news station in washington dc gives its investigation's results where the outcome appears fair and politically moderate. then fox news channel has a completely different set of results with a decidedly right wing point of view. and foxnews.com has an even further right doctrine that results in a report skewing the investigation's results more conservative. on top of that, fox news latino has a widely different story written in a way that plays to gain hispanic
audience. newsweek magazine and thedailybeast.com. nbc news and msnbc. locally, wisconsin state journal and the capital times. milwaukee journal sentinel, tmj4, 620 wtmj and right wisconsin. do you agree?

what other examples can you think of? what was the first time you remember noticing this new media world? is ANYONE doing serious reporting without a real spin?
