More names have come out from yesterday's nationwide Clear Channel cutbacks:
At CCM+E-Los Angeles, Modern Rock KYSR (98.7FM) midday host/imaging director Trever Trent exits. AC KOST Programming Assistant Monica Medina is also out, along with voiceover/commercial producer Doc Bailey, on-air talent Christine Martindale and producer Lindsey Sopp Kovar. KBIG producer DJ Joe Vinyl exits, along with KBIG & KOST Marketing Director Robert Lyles. CCM+E-L.A. board op Joel Elliott was also a part of Thursday's cuts.
According to Time Out Chicago's Robert Feder, CCM+E-Chicago has parted ways with Urban AC WVAZ evening host Glenn Cosby, Urban WGRB-AM APD/MD/midday host Effie Rolfe and at least two other on-air hosts from the cluster. Marketing and Promotions Manager Angie Zdanowski also exits.
Triple A KBCO/Denver afternoon driver Keefer has left the station, in addition to yesterday's reported exits of morning show producer Chris Griffin and part-timer Joe Niko.
In Tampa, Country WFUS MD/midday host Ryan Nelson and afternoon drive co-host Jenny Dean are out, along with Urban WBTP afternoon driver Stu and cluster Promotions Coordinator Ty Demeza.
Tim Michaels exits Country WUBL/Atlanta.
At Classic Hits WJMK/Chicago, Eddie (Volkman) and Jobo (Joe Bohannon) have exited mornings.
Clear Channel-Panama City welcomes programming vet Gary Nolan as its new OM for the cluster. Nolan will also handle PD/afternoon duties at Country WPAP. Nolan, who begins his new gig on December 20, joins from CC's Binghamton cluster.
"Gary Nolan is the perfect choice to take our already successful Panama City franchise to new levels. He has programmed some of the most successful AC stations in the country," said Jackie Rinker, VP/Market Manager, Clear Channel-Panama City. "His experience in large markets makes him an ideal partner for our already well-known on-air personalities, Dr. Shane and Tom on 92.5 WPAP and Logan Kelley on Sunny 98.5."
Andy Green joins Active Rock WRIF/Detroit as APD/MD, replacing Suzy Cole, who recently left The 'RIF for a position in L.A. with Beats By Dre. Green was previously at Active Rock WGRD/Grand Rapids. His first day in the Motor City will be December 17.
Onondaga County, NY has proclaimed today (Friday, December 7, 2012) as Mimi Griswold Day. Griswold, VP of Programming of Galaxy Communications, is retiring this month after twenty years with the company. The proclamation was read at Griswold’s retirement party at Galaxy Communications’ headquarters.
