Is Eric Paulsen still on the air anywhere in Milwaukee? I know he hasn't been full time in at least a decade but I haven't heard him on Entercom recently so I don't know if he's still doing part time.
I too was disappointed to see him filling in the "right" spot on Today's TMJ-4 when Jeff Wagner is ill or has a radio remote.
If there's one thing the hightened political discourse has done, is it's brought peoples' political views to the forefront. Prior to Scott Walker getting elected and Michigan stripping union rights, I had no idea what my neighbor thought about politics. Now it's all anyone talks about.
That makes me question why there aren't more variety of news/talk stations in all markets. There's a ton of conservative stations and a tiny number of liberal ones. If you've seen the revenue from any of the liberal stations you know it's not a question of dollars. Lib talk brings in just as much money as conservative talk, so the only thing that's left is the radio conglomerates don't want to air programming that is against their own self interests.
Back to the topic at hand, that piece by Eric Paulsen is a good one to tack to your refrigerator. I believe the old BrewCityRadio permalinked it on the home page.
