WEKZ is a strange place for him.
WEKZ was Easy Listening, Soft AC "The Big Easy 93-7" and flipped to its current format a couple years ago.
It's focus is mainly on Green County (Monroe, it's city of license) and Freeport, IL where they have a lot of advertisers, as well as sister stations.
The station itself is a music station, but has a heavy amount of farm reports as well as local news and all of what you would expect from a rural station.
The station does not put a grade A signal into Madison proper, although it is listenable in most of Dane County.
You can hear it in Rockford, Janesville, Beloit, the area where 106.7 covers, and maybe about as far east as Whitewater if you got a good enough tuner.
Southwest Dane County has Grade A coverage. The city of Madison itself is in the Grade B coverage for the station.
Watertown is outside of the coverage area. That map that was posted was over exaggerated. You're not going to get WEKZ in Baraboo.
