can AM interfere with FM

driving fairly close to the WISN tower, (approx 1/4 mile away), I was sure they were interfering with my car radio, I had WMYX on and I could swear they were bleeding into the FM band. This was in my 2008 Ford Explorer, is this possible, I know they put out 50kw.
