Hey, awesome! Another outstanding scouting effort by Jon Byman. His mission to recraft the entire WTMJ on-air news staff in the image of his own boring suburban whiteness continues.

Judging from Meerdink's prolific Twitter account, he's another guy who wouldn't dare spare us his every banal thought, every one of which is as timely and profound as though Moses brought it down from the mountain on a stone tablet.

I can't wait to hear the first on-air news analysis offered up by Meerdink, Eric Grillaert, and Jodi Becker. I think I'd rather chew urine-soaked broken glass.

Maybe Meerdink was hired because he confessed a shared love of radio towers with Byman. Maybe they debated height vs. girth.
