You're also talking about 3G. 3G blows. 4G/LTE is better than home broadband and every day has better coverage. My provider has 4G throughout most of Wisconsin now, and it works very well.

That's not to say radio doesn't have it's advantages. But, like jigga said, there's no money in AM/FM for the car manufacturers. Damn the consumer.
