Ha. There is no reason to get into radio anymore. After being in and out of radio here in Madison a few times, I've even lost the passion that I used to have after witnessing what has been done to the business that I fell in love with.
Its all about producing quantity now. How many blog posts did you do today? How many tweets, facebook posts, etc. They don't care about the on-air content anymore. They don't care about answering the phones and interacting with listeners. Hell even station events aren't a priority at a lot of stations anymore...they're all half-assed when they get done at all.
The radio that I grew up listening to, and was a part of for at least a few years in the middle of last decade doesn't exist anymore. Radio is killing itself and no one seems to realize it or care.
