Jeff Wagner was the only Wisconsin talker who made the "Top 100." No Belling. No Sykes.
I lean right, but not so far right that I've ever listened to Glenn Beck. I listen to Limbaugh about once every six months, just to remind myself why I do not listen more often. I find Belling and McKenna almost impossible to listen to. Belling's arrogance nauseates me, and McKenna's voice is like nails on a fake-tanned, concealed-carrying chalkboard.
I have always considered Jeff Wagner to be among the most milquetoast talk show hosts I've encountered in any city, at any spot on the dial. I've always assumed that the only reason TMJ kept him on was that he was willing to work really cheap.
I know he has his audience, but to be considered among the 100 most influential talkers in the country? I just don't see it. When I saw that piece at DailyKos last week, suggesting that he was some crazed right-wing lunatic who had somehow escaped their radar, but who now had to be silenced at any cost, it read like something out of The Onion. The only thing Jeff Wagner has ever done to influence me politically was to convince me to hate Jimmy Buffett fans even more than I would have under normal circumstances.
