Not at all, Jed. He is a rightie's righty. He said he kept his political views and opinions in general aside from sports away from his news reports and when hosts brought him into the studio. He said most of it was to uphold his integrity as a legitimate news reporter and anchor but there was also a mandate put on him to remain objective. He said Jerry Bott and Jeff Tyler have brought him into WISN to be used in capacities he never envisioned would ever be possible at TMJ. He explained his larger role there as being a frequent fill-in host (in fact he's in again tomorrow for Jay) and taking over the weekend shows when Paul isn't available like he did while Paul was on the Belling cruise. I think he's got some work to do on his ability to hold a conversation without sounding like a newsman but maybe that's because of the intonation and delivery he's had for 10+ years doing all news and the occasional sports recap. I get a feeling if there's a demand, he could be put on Sunday nights before or after Dan Conry replacing the Purity Products infomercials.
