"Leans heavily conservative"?? Examples please.
I watched Jake quite often when he was with ABC News, and I thought his reporting was "fair and balanced," (unlike Faux News). Doing his job and asking the administration questions (and calling them out on BS) is what folks used to call reporting. He did the same thing with the Bush administration, and was one of the first to raise questions about the Bush administration's WMD claims.
Prior to becoming a journalist, he was a press secretary for a Democratic congressional candidate and worked for the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. Hardly sounds like someone who "leans heavily conservative."
Also, what does "lean heavily conservative" even mean? Someone who leans conservative is someone just right of center. Lean & 'heavily' would seem to be mututally exclusive, but doesn't look like you have much of a grasp of facts to begin with.
Back to the original point -- bummer that Jake's show is off to a rough start. Hopefully things pick up.
