More AM 620 WTMJ changes?

Did they always have a top of the hour tone? I know many heritage AMs do. I honestly don't recall if WTMJ always had one or not.

But today I heard it for the first time. It isn't as intrusive as the WGN-AM one but it's there. It sounds more like the call waiting bleep you used to hear when you had home phone service.

If WTMJ didn't have this before I'm guessing this is another one of Tom Langmyer's consulting memos.
