I wonder what the back story is. He has talent and as far as I know, he has been dedicated and hard working. I don't think he's gotten himself into trouble or anything like that. That job title was always weird to me tho.
Not good news for Energy 106.9, or Saga. But back to the firing, I think there's a possibility they'll give it another 6 months hampering back down on the "more music" mentality and making the new talent they hired talk less which makes about as much sense as anything happening at WLUM. There are maybe 50 people in the country that understand how to execute radio that still connects with the demo and utilizes social media, technology. But unfortunately we don't have anyone in Milwaukee that gets it. Brian Kelly comes close just by chance, and the former WGN consultant Tom who's at WTMJ now knows things. That's all who comes to mind.
As for Baby B (Brandon Rowe), I would like to see him get picked up again by V100 but I know Clear Channel isn't hiring people with actual resumes on music format stations. If he networked at all maybe he could land in Chicago doing a lesser position at WGCI or more likely Power 92.3. The guy has real skills and passion for radio.
