There have been some very scary undertones made by several posters in this thread. I need to repsond the them for my own peace of mind.
1) Talk radio does not have to be unbiased. Talk radio (and frankly, ALL commercial radio) is capitalist at its core. Need an example? Why is Air America off then? Not enough listener and sponsor support. You can bet if it was making money, it would still exist and thrive.
2) You cannot correlate 1st Ammendment right infringement in relation to talk radio. Are you crazy? You have no rights under the constitution to ensure YOUR voice is heard on a commercial enterprise. The 1st Ammendment guarantees you cannot be arrested, prosecuted or otherwise disallowed to say whatever you want. It doesn't give you a right to use other vehicles to express your viewpoint (TV, radio, newspaper, billboards, etc). Only that you cannot be personally prosecuted for your opinion or speech.
I agree that WTMJ's Charlie Sykes is not 'bonafide news'. He is commentary similar to Rush, Rachel Maddow or Glenn Beck. But let's not drag the constitution and personal liberties into this arguement. It falls apart when you do that since you sound moronic.
