I suppose I'll be the first to say it? Music on FM radio is barely working, unless MWF plans a HUGE marketing campaign or campaigns I don't see people knowing the station even exists.
Also I'm confused. The release says "Rockford's first Spanish-language radio station will hit the airwaves" and then it says "La Movida ... Madison .. has been broadcasting for over ten years." Then the PD Luis Montoto says "La Movida .. is a way of life .. in Madison". This release is more about Madison than Rockford.
Is the Rockford station just a simulcast of what's going on in Madison? I don't even know what frequency the Madison station is on because they didn't say that in the release. What's the Rockford line-up going to look line? Are there local live jocks, is it a simulcast, is it running syndication, is it all music and no talk? I see Jeremy posted a reply and I bet he hit some of my above points but I still think it's appropriate to bring them all up.
BTW I don't know if the WREX story was for sure a reprint of what I've been referring to as a press release. It just seems to be short and not contain any real specifics on what to expect with the new WNTA 1330.
