iHeartradio is the biggest brand to come out of Clear Channel since...Kiss maybe.
Every station CC has "An iHeartradio Station" tagged to their Legal ID.
They have their Las Vegas music festival selling out within a minute (Obviously, most of the tickets go to contests)
Since this is such a huge event, without any available tickets except via winning thru listening for a que on CC stations. People will tune into their stations and listen and try to win. It's win win for the stations and for CC.
The stations are sadly still run like crap, but they get good ratings in many markets that they are in. Milwaukee they pretty much dominate the Top 3 between FM 106, Oldies 95.7 and WISN.
Madison? Same story between Z104 and WIBA and sometimes WIBA-FM.
Chicago? WVAZ currently holds the top spot.
KBIG and KIIS hold the top 2 spots in Los Angeles.
WLTW also owns New York, Market #1
It's unfortunate and sad that much of the programming is voice tracked and non local in many of these markets. But for Clear Channel, they still got the numbers. And I swear iHeartradio is what keeps them that way.
