Journal Broadcast Group Adds Summerfest Station to
Radio League Streaming Music App
Radio League now includes seven free, unique local stations
Milwaukee, Wis. – On the heels of launching its new “Radio League” streaming music app on March 24, Journal Broadcast Group has announced a new station with the Radio League’s first partner – Summerfest. The new Summerfest Radio station will feature music from 2014 Summerfest headliners like Lady Gaga and the Dave Matthews Band, as well as ground stage performers like New Order, Fitz & the Tantrums and Nas. In addition to the new Summerfest Radio station, the Radio League includes six other free, high quality, locally programmed streaming music stations, including Country, Top 40, Christian Hits and Totally 80s stations. The Radio League app can be downloaded for iOS and Android devices at http://radioleague.com. It is also available in the App Store and Android Marketplace.
“We’ve gotten incredible feedback on the Radio League, and we’re thrilled to now offer another exclusive, unique local station within our free line-up,” said J. Pat Miller, Director of Marketing & Innovation for Journal’s Milwaukee Radio Operations.
“Partnering with ‘the World’s Largest Music Festival,’ Summerfest, is just one way the Radio League will become the premier place for relevant, local, digital music experiences. We’re proud to have Summerfest as a charter station in the Radio League,” agreed Tom Langmyer, Vice President & General Manager of Journal Broadcast Group’s Milwaukee Radio Operations.
The Radio League was created to offer exclusive streaming options that are unique to Milwaukee and differ from nationally syndicated products – and Journal Broadcast Group plans to add more stations in the future. More information about the Radio League app and links to the download sites are available at radioleague.com.
