It's also worth noting that CBS 58 USED to work under a shoestring budget. Over the last year or so, they've had multiple changes in management. The owner of Weigel actually has since retired, and his son now signs the checks. He, unlike his father, gives a damn about making 58 a valid contender in the ratings.
They also got a new GM a few months ago, and he seems to know how to get things done.
