Eh ..
Based on the statements given to All Access by Jeff Tyler and crew, that include absolutely no mention of a Milwaukee presence by Connie and the new host, I actually think the poster might be right.
Here's what was on AA earlier this AM:
'Morning Co-Host Fish Exits Z104
June 3, 2010 at 9:01 AM (PT)
Long-time co-host FISH announced this morning (6/3) that he is leaving the CONNIE & FISH morning show at CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WZEE (Z104)/MADISON, WI to pursue other interests.
This has been something FISH has been considering for months and involves him taking his career in new directions, said VP/Market Manager JEFF TYLER. While we are sad to see him go, the staff and especially CONNIE, wish him absolutely the best, and support his decision to try something new in his career. Its something I think all of us have considered at one time or another and wished we had acted on.
CONNIE has been an incredible partner and friend," said FISH. "She made getting up to do the show fun and unpredictable. We will always be more than just two voices on the radio. We have shared a lot of ourselves with our listeners and each other. Shes one of the best.
CONNIE & FISH, who met in college, have been working on-air together for 14 years, and they debuted at Z104 nearly a decade ago. Their show had also been simulcast on sister CLEAR CHANNEL Classic Hits WQBW (97.3 THE BREW)/MILWAUKEE until last week, when that station flipped to Top 30 as 97.3 RADIO NOW.
CONNIE, who will continue to host the show, said, "We can never replace FISH, and well always be friends and fans of each other, but were going to have a blast on the air auditioning some great talent for the co-host position.
CLEAR CHANNEL MADISON OM MIKE FERRIS said, "The tune-in and talk will be at the highest levels over the days, weeks and months ahead. Starting MONDAY, JUNE 7th, CONNIE will begin auditioning potential new morning co-hosts live every day! She will also be involving the largest listener and fan-base in MADISON radio to help her with the choice! Some of the names will be familiar, some will be new, and some will be surprising! Well be using our website (Z104FM.COM) and our vast social networks (FACEBOOK and TWITTER) to gather comments, opinions and interest in this live reality search for a new co-host for CONNIE!
FISH told listeners that he plans to do some traveling, and pursue new opportunities, including stand-up comedy, and other business ventures. Reach FISH at [email protected].'
