I don't believe you need to identify "AM" or "FM" if there is not a station on the opposite band with the same call letters. WTMJ in Milwaukee is just "WTMJ Milwaukee" as there is not a WTMJ-FM.

: That's something I've seen stations toy with forever. I'm not sure how big the crackdown is. I know WMYX in Milwaukee recently had to add or remove -FM, I can't remember.
