With the exception of overnights and weekends and Seacrest, Chicago is all local.
Brotha Fred = Mornings
Nina Chantelle = Early Middays (She also does work for WGCI, thus it's probably a little cheaper to have her on for a few hours.)
Seacrest
Jordan
Special K
They DO have a few local weekend/fill ins. Rufio is one. MJ is another.
Between the launch in 2001 and 2003, it was almost all jockless or voice tracked.
Mornings = Valentine (VTed from KIIS)
Middays = Randi West (VTed)
Afternoons = Local with Rick Party
Evenings = 1 Hour. Carson Daly Most Requested (Syndicated)
Evenings = First they had Pyke. Then Java Joel. Local.
Overnights = Jockless
Weekends they had Kasper (Who was just let go from WAKS in Clevelend), Emily West, the Rhythm Top 30 Countdown with Ellen K. AT40 with Casey Kasem and Rick Dees & The Weekly Top-40 were the standard weekend shows and hosts on the station.
I think they also had Gary Spears tracking for awhile.
2002-2005 were the glory days of this station. It was fun to listen to. The DJs made up for the tiny playlist. Something that will likely never happen again in Chicago radio.
