Breaking into Madison radio

Hi everyone-

I just graduated from Madison Media Institute and want to get into music radio on air and also music scheduling.

I have an appointment set up with MMI's placement department but I want to get a jump on the other people that will be flooding the area stations with their applications.

What is the best way for me to set myself apart and get a job?
